DC transmission lines are GENERALLY quieter unless you live right next to
the converter station. DC transmission lines the major conductor count
should be an even number -- AC transmission line the major conductor count
is generally divisible by three.

Does the RFI from DC lines tend to be less or more than that from AC lines?
Is there a way to tell if the lines are DC or AC? Can you "listen" to them
or something? I have HV lines running across my property in the country.

Tnx es 73, de Jim, KG0KP

I have always assumed all the main power lines are AC. Even studies I've
seen regarding health issues from power lines reference AC.
