[RFI] Not really ham but radio related, RFI

I need to ask a question about xenon beacons. Seems that we have some at 
the new airport that cause interference to some of the VHF channels, 
sometimes.

I'm not familiar with these beacons so am interested to learn what I can.

Anybody here have experience of noise from such things?
