[RFI] Direct TV DVR problems

My DirecTV DVR is a model HR-20 that has been in service without a glitch for over 7 years. This may sound too basic, but how is your equipment grounded? Fer instance I have a eight foot ground rod just outside the room that my shack is in. All equipment is grounded parallel to a copper buss plate. Amp is a LA-82 will do legal loafing, xyl never has said a word about rfi tweaking the DVR. And that includes 10 meters at that Po level.

Mix 31 toroids on all wires entering the DVR is my best suggestion.

I've had DirecTV for nearly 10 years and have had no problems with RFI
even while running 1KW into low dipoles. I had a TIVO DirecTV DVR in
the past with no issues and now I have the newer DirecTV HD DVR. No
  problems with either of them.
