Thanks.  Perhaps I will purchase the heater first with a money back 
guarantee.  Set it up in a bucket of water and listen for interference.  I 
should know in a day or so if its noisy, if so, take it back.

I'll make a note of the brand you mention below.

I use to have 4 Hagen Tonic heaters and detected no RFI problems. They use
solid state switching and unlike the old mechanical thermostat products of
years gone by, don't arc which was the cause RF noise or worse stick on to
boil your fishy friends.

I am considering purchasing an Aquarium and it will need a heater around 225

watts.   I've heard (no pun intended) RFI is a known problem with Aquarium
heaters.  Are there any good or bad models I should know about?  Anyone have

any experience with this care to share your thoughts?
