Hi Jim,

I use a Tek scope, AC powered in my car for showing power line sparking patterns. I use an Astron Model Pi-250W Inverter to power the scope. It runs off the cigarette lighter socket (a 12 V power socket, actually).

The Astron inverter has a very precise 60 Hz modified sine wave, which you can use to trigger the sweep to freeze the 60 cycle RFI pattern.

  I just bought a Rigol 1102E 100 MHz scope, but it's 120VAC powered. Is
yours also AC powered? If so, how do you run it in your vehicle?
