Yup. Nearly all of my power line noise hunting last summer was done 
on foot, occasionally up to 20 miles in a single day. Late in the 
season I graduated to a bicycle for coarse hunting, with walking to 
pinpoint sources. As soon as the weather gets a little warmer, I'll 
be at it again.
