There are other perhaps better and cheaper ways depending on the
application.  I resort to ferrite only when all else fails.   Audio
and power line Isolation transformers and bypass caps are good.  You
can find adequate ones inexpensively at hamfests.  Hams who try to
solve every RFI problem with ferrite are wasting money because you
have to know what ferrite material type you are getting, and that
usually means spending more.  Unidentified ferrite at hamfests is
almost always material types that will not work well, at least on HF
and 160 meters.
