[RFI] RFI on RT-21

Hi Tim

Jeff is very helpful, I contacted him many times by Skype to solve other
problems.

I have 3 Green Heron controls at CW5W, and this is the first time I have
this problem, so don´t think is a problem in the RT-21.

Last change I did 2 weeks ago:
-	change a AWG #12 cable I had in the back the desks where I have all
equipments grounded. Now I have a copper bus bar and I connect all
equipements to this bus bar with copper nuts and bolts
-	installed again the 40 mts yagi with a new coaxial with crimp
connectors


I noticed that last RUDX contest. Will go to the station and do more test,
changing RT-21 to move the 40 mts antenna and see what happens,
disconnecting the coaxial to rotate the antenna and see what happens, etc,
etc.

Have you contacted Jeff at Green Heron for help?

I am sure he will help you solve your issue.

I have 25 stock Green Heron controllers here at K3LR with no RFI issues.

With your internet RFI problem as well - sounds like you need some
additional help sorting out proper cables and grounding to keep the RF
outside :-)

Last weekend I experienced RFI on one (I have 3) of my Green Heron RT-21
controllers.  

 

When transmitting, the antenna don´t rotate or the increase speed is
defective or the indicator change between two values, for example 33 and 64
degrees.

 

I cannot made rounds with the power cable in a core, because the cable
length is short and will not reach the power source

 

Thinking to put snap on beads on the cable. This will work?

 

Any idea how many and type? If you have a part number will be better for me.

 

And also I have a problem on my USB Internet modem when transmitting on 20
mts. Modem still connected but internet is affected, we cannot surf on
internet.
