[RFI] ARRL to FCC...

Hate to beat a dead horse, but just thinking outside the box a little on this Friday.

Perhaps Dale's neighbor works for the mob? If that were the case, I also wouldn't want to anger the neighbor. ;-) (just kidding, sort of.)

We all have choices; it seems Dale-VUJ has made his choice. He chooses to live with the noise for now. End of story. I just hope most other hams won't make the same choice as it does impact the entire Amateur Radio community.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

I believe that kind of attitude is part of the problem. I will do and have done everything I can to help neighbors. But I won't appease their intransigence; when they dig in their heels I happily call In the big guns.

At that point, Amateur Radio and my ability to exercise the privileges granted by my Federally issued license is far more important to me than what any uncooperative neighbors might think of me.

Of course, YMMV.

That's why I would like to see better oversight of potential RFI generators being sold to the general public. The ultimate burden should, must be placed on the manufacturer of the errant product, not on the end user or me.

True, it's too late for the junk that's already out there, If you want to go to war with your neighbors, fine, complain and hope for the best, but your neighbors I don't believe will take kindly to the FCC letter stating their TV is illegal and interfering with a ham radio operator therefore must be shut down or risk a $10000 fine.
