Your suggestion is the kind of thing I was looking for.  That's the
kind of thing you can tell a fellow ham when he says he's getting
trash from a switcher.  Handing him a 60 page PDF does no good
whatsoever - if he'd wanted to read something like that he'd have
already read it and you wouldn't having this conversation!

Likewise, you can't ask a neighbor to smash the switching WW.  Duh.
You can offer to wrap the cord through some ferrite, though.

I stipulated up front that the only people that care are hams - the
manufacturers don't and their "regulator" doesn't so it's up to us.
