[RFI] Electric Fence pulsing (will get worse soon !)

A note on horses and electric fences. As horses nervous systems are very
sensitive to shock, most electric fences used around them are woven
through a plastic strip about 3/4 to 1" wide to make them visible.
At least all those around here are like that.

I've never taken hold of one as I have an implanted defibrillator and am
supposed to avoid electric shocks and RF at 900 MHz

When I was young, tough, and not to smart, I grabbed hold of some pretty
strong ones and my arm ached for several days. Never grab one that
isn't pulsed. Some of those will burn off any weed foolish enough to
grow too close<:-) I don't know if it was a brand name, but we called
them weed choppers. Be careful using the back of your hand. That area
is kinda fragile. If I were foing to do it, I'd swipe the end fo a
finger across the wire. Better to use an NE51 with one lead tied to a
ground and the other to the fence.

When we built on the NW corner of the farm, we no longer had cattle, but
my cousin had about a 100 head with one leg of their fence running
around the S end of the field behind our house about a quarter mile
distant. I'd guess the over all length to be around 2 miles. Any time
I'd hear it, I'd call them because it meant a portion of the fence was
shorted and not keeping the cows in and they wanted to know.
