Because snap-ons with a single turn have a low Q (broad) self resonant 
(lossy peak) in the VHF spectrum, and are inductive in the 1-3 MHz range 
used by DSL. this makes them ineffective at these frequencies. We're 
looking for a high value of resistance, not inductance. Study
