I used shielded CAT cable for the LAN in my house although I may have wanted the transmitter signal not to interfere with the LAN. It obviously costs more, I had to buy it in bulk (100 feet if I remember correctly) and I had to make my own connectors, a real PITA task. Ken K5RG
