If you have 3 conductor outlets (not just 2 cond), your electrical panel probably has a ground wire connected to your cold water pipe somewhere.  That's how I found mine wired before I added a connection to my outdoor ground rods along the back of the house for my ham shack.  Now everything's bonded together on an underground buss.  My house was built in about 1977-78 so cold water copper pipes were probably still code then.  I think recent water piping changes may have made that a thing of the past.

I have just noticed that my home built in the 60's does not have an earth ground outside. Could that be causing some some of my weird RFI situations I am encountering. Been here a year almost now and just now really getting on the air.Symptoms ate noisy monitor (already put a lot of chokes on the leads), Monitor screen blacks out when treansmitting on 40 ...
