[RFI] Solar Panels and your Neighbors

I have mentioned this a while back about a "class action suit" to the
scofflaws of these solar optimizers, mainly Solar Edge.

What you need is a big complaint to the FCC by a good majority of the
amateurs who are having this issue, like I am ATM. I have next door
neighbor and one house 1/4 mile from this QTH with a horrendous birdie on
50.098MHz and identifies itself every 100KHz and trashes the whole 50MHz
band with S7+ noise floor levels making the 6m band unusable !

I do not detect anything on the 30m band...so far. I will be installing a
17m yagi shortly and wondering what kind of surprises I may find on that
band ! ! ! !

I was supposed to have a field tech from Solar Edge come over a few weeks
ago to take some measurements on the RFI problem...he was a "no show".

If these Solar Edge optimizers had FCC stickers on them, someone must have
made some up and stuck them on the units because they should not have passed
the rules and regulations on radiation emissions from a device. Maybe Solar
Edge made up their own rules and regs on these pieces of garbage...I call it
"piss poor engineering".

If nothing is done about this now, it will get even worse and by the time
the smoke has settled, the company will most likely be out of business by
then.

73 y'all,

Tom / K1TL...
