Some "Master Clock" systems generate 1 Pulse Per Second ( square wave so
lots of harmonics ) and distribute that pulse to the entire site via coax
cable or other wiring.
Frequently found at broadcast sites and other locations needing exact time
on all clocks.

Subject: [RFI] 1 second pulse on 30M

I just discovered a strong pulse on 30M that is exactly 1 second & usually
is one tick but sometimes sounds like a tock tick, still maintaining the 1
second interval. I counted 180 ticks with a stopwatch and exactly three
minutes.

It could pass for WWV but there's no
voice. Sounds for the world like an
electric fence but nothing like that here.
It hasn't been there before, is on no
other bands.

Any suggestions?

Gary
