An easy alternative to a full blown spectrum analyzer is a chesp ($25)
RTL-SDR dongle receiver plugged into a laptop with portable directional
antenna. Full coverage from 25Mhz to 1.7 GHz. Easy to view the key fob
frequencies with this setup. I use this type system all the time with an
additional HF upconverter for tracking down MF and HF RFI.
