All I can say is WOW! No room on a tiny suburban lot here, but sure interesting.

I have a friend who has designed a mount system for Don's Portable Terminated Flag DF antenna and I passed that info to Don tonight.

Mac,

Here is a presentation they put together awhile back:

https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.kkn.net%2Fdayton2011%2FN4ISWallerFlag.pdf&data=02%7C01%7C%7C9ad36a32eda9494e28c008d7b8a9e947%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637180912201799539&sdata=rwAv5bDpJbclGZLZm4a8%2FSeQEQvbCPNWVUdew475fpU%3D&reserved=0

Particular attention has to be paid to the xmission line used
between the two 'flags' and such that 'things' remain
balanced until after the preamps.

Very interesting demo, Jim, but what I was looking for is info on the Waller antennas themselves.

Sure thing, Mac.

BTW, I had to view this several times to get full impact of what Jose
was saying and showing, but, it is a good showing of what the Horz
Waller Flag can do to (manmade power line) noise.

https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DdNBekvzlxgM&data=02%7C01%7C%7C9ad36a32eda9494e28c008d7b8a9e947%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637180912201799539&sdata=bLlMBT5PXEdlwazcbKL9jJZhRAydyiTwdwzWAqcmLsg%3D&reserved=0

I think what this demonstrates is how line noise sources that
are on the order of 1/2 to several miles away are still factors
when receiving weak DX signals. In quiet conditions his V
and H Waller Flag would be equal in rx sensitivity, maybe with
V a little stronger, but, it is ALL about the S to N ratio and
a horizontal Waller Flag delivers a better SNR to the receiver,
as observed.

How about a link to that "Waller Flag" item?
