 Chuck,

I have used standard PL-259 ("UHF") connectors on RG-214 cable.

Don't tin the braid excessively and it can be worked into the PL-259 
connector part with the solder holes.
Just don't forget the screw-on part before proceeding!

Station jumpers for HF here are 214 on account that was the only large 
cable I had on hand.

Absolutely correct...and far more costly.
