I strongly recommend the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD. You do NOT want the
much cheaper CP1500AVRLCD, which makes a lot of RF noise.

There's another MAJOR advantage to these UPS units -- their battery life
is MUCH longer than most other UPS units because they don't overcharge
the battery and destroy it. I have four of these units, and I've had
batteries still in good shape after 5 years! Most UPSs destroy their
batteries in a year or two. I've had at least a half dozen different UPS
units over the years, and this is the first one that didn't do that.

Jim,

I had 3 Cyberpower CP1500PFCLCD and in operation I hear a lot of noise.
When they are on standby, they are silent but when the current cuts off the noise increases drastically.
I have a switch where the 2 UPS are connected and when it is off it is obvious that the noise comes from the 2 ups ...

They are located just below the desk where my radio and my coaxial pass. Is it too close?
Each wire that goes in and out also has # 31 ferrites ...

Are your ups silent even with a power cut?
How far are they from your station?

I even thought about buying a server box and put them inside to cut the noise ...

Maybe my HF antenna is too close to the station and picks up some RFIs that it wouldn't pick up at a greater distance ...

My 2 old APCs didn't do that ...
