Hi Pete,

I suggest probing for noise around the fixtures and their wiring using 
one of the battery-powered radios in this applications note. The Kenwood 
TH-F6A has long been my weapon of choice.

When probing, remember that the AC to DC power supply is the noise 
source, and the attached wiring is the transmitting antenna. In addition 
to antenna action, if each fixture has its own PSU, the transmitter 
power of eight will be 9 dB greater than only one. Noise current can be 
significantly reduced with multi-turn chokes on the wiring.
