"This announcement discusses retrofits to existing systems, NOT new
installations."

Gotcha.

I'd figure since they've been working on replacements for so long, with
so many people involved, they'd just cut their losses, and swap out the
entire system in a few hours, and walk away from the well-known for
years, if not a decade or more, problem. Kinda like how Ford doesn't
spend 100's of millions of dollars, and tens of thousands of man-hours,
re-designing a mid-70's Ford Pinto- in 2023.

I don't see how there could be a "test", having their own junk on-hand
to work with. It's quiet, or not, and no doubt they know.

Please let us know how well their patch absolutely silences the problem,
as that would be the only acceptable solution, and they've know that
since the beginning.

Fingers crossed.

"That's probably my 2016 case you're referring to. Solar Edge installed
the EU units years ago which unfortunately did little to quiet the
system. They also changed the inverter which also had no affect. I
believe the reason why my case has dragged on for 7 years is because the
engineers haven't visited the site to either test the system or inspect
the suppression that's been installed. We're hoping that will happen
this year."

Ouch. Weren't they on-site during the EU swap, so they'd know?

Kurt
