Not too bad. I was, originally, shooting for 300 Qs but got there pretty
early so just kept going. The 380 insures that, with busted Qs, I'll
still have my 300. :>)
In my brief summary, below, I misstated. I *did* hear KE0A at one point
but he was S&P and I never heard him again. No SK heard at all. VY1AAA
was incredibly loud on 15 and easy to work. Gerry was loud on 20, too,
but the pile was impossible for me to break and I wasted too much time
trying. The mult that had me most worried was NE but I finally snagged
W0KT late on 40. There are many who never worked NE and wound up with 82
mults!
Thanks to VE4GV for the MB mult, and on 20 no less. It took patience but
we did make it. I appreciate that, Rob! We should do what other clubs do
and set a time for everyone to get on, maybe on 80, to allow us to work
each other. It does help, especially when you have very long 40-meter
propagation like we did this weekend.
About noon on Sunday I found I had worked all W6 mults except SB, which
has always been a problem for me. I found NC6B S&P and working up-band,
like I was. I heard him finish a QSO so I went up 1kHz and called him.
On the second call he actually came back to me and we completed the QSO.
Strange, but the technique did work. He was my only non-S&P QSO. I did
work two other SB stations later but, hey, why take a chance?
I can't say I'm looking forward to the SSB weekend but I'll be in there
trying. I have to get .wav files set up so as to not lose my voice doing
it the hard way.
