Hi Ed

Great idea to get everyone ready for the weekend.

We really cannot stress enough that you should try and call CQ - especially on Sunday.  Folks DO want to work you, and you never know who might come back.  During the 10 meter contest from PJ2T last year, I called a number of folks calling CQ, and a few were surprised.

For anyone wanting to work DX and increase your DXCC totals, this is THE contest.

This week, lots of folks are doing their warmups, and station testing.  That is what we are doing here.

So are you almost ready?  Have you set your goals?  Is anyone interested in
doing some on air checks Thursday evening, say 0130z?   It may be an
opportunity to get on, and ensure your voice keyers are set, mic levels and
compression are fine tuned.  If anyone is interested, reply either on here
or direct my email and we can set a frequency.  Let's hope the solar
conditions take a major turn for the better before the weekend.

If you need some inspiration, here are the current VE4 records for this
contest. As you can see, there are a lot of categories that have never had
an entrant. Cary, I know you are busy this weekend but perhaps you can find
time to make a QRP 160 assisted QSO or two!.  2015 was a good year for VE4's
as 4 new records were set.
