Bill - VE3XT is looking for a QSO with VE4RAC. Seems he missed whoever was on 40 CW about a week ago, and it seems every time the station is on, its usually on phone.. Bill does not have a mic (that I am aware of) Brad - VE3MXJ is also looking for VE4RAC. Brad *has* a mic, and does not operate CW. Can you send these guys a sked/let them know when someone is on? Preferably 40. These three guys are also looking for a QSO with XK150YUKON. I am hoping Gerry or Cary can help them with that. Mike - VE3EDX also does not have a mic. I would like to say its nice to be back in Winnipeg from the two weeks in Hawaii, but I can't. Since I only received two affirmative replies to having our monthly meeting this coming week, we will have to defer to January. Would January 11 work for everyone? I know it should be Jan 18 but Cary is home the week before. Please let me know your preference, 11 or 18 and if you are able to host. A couple important reminders. 1. If you are holding any IRC you have received from QSL'ing stations, make sure you exchange them before January 1 2018. These can be exchanged for the $2.50 Canadian stamps so don't let them go to waste. If you take them to a postal outlet and the clerk is not familiar with the processing, tell them to look on their register under "Other Sales" and International reply Coupon". 2. Membership dues are due in January. 3. Has anyone volunteered for VE4RAC for the winter contest? 4. Has anyone arranged a sched with Tom's (Ve3CX) friends that are looking for CW contacts with VE4RAC? Season's Greetings to all! We are in the closing days for Canada 150th and the RAC Winter Contest will be an excellent event to mop up any needed RAC stations before the year ends. VE6SV will be *VE6RAC* for the contest, we will be active from 160M thru to 2M as a Multi-Multi this year. So we will be able to QSY immediately and to have a SSB and CW station on the air for the full 24 hours. Before the contest VE6RAC will be active on CW, SSB and RTTY. Saying that, anyone doing FT8? I would be interested in some 6M or 2M FT8 skeds, if anyone is interested. QRZ contest ..............
