Happy New Year Everyone !

Hope you all had a great Christmas season and the very best for 2017 to you
and yours.

Thank you Gerry for arranging the high tech vehicle to participate in
RSM monthly meeting and Dennis for a very interesting presentation.

Life is well with me and 2017 at least in Alberta has some good potential
shifting
into view. Last couple of years the Alberta economy has really notched
down. But,
I believe we now have somewhat a new plan to continue to move forward.

2017 at the VE6SV station will also under go some changes, detailed
planning and
material procurement is underway and come spring and summer there will be
numerous upgrades to the antenna field and station hardware.

The final configuration will not be harden until later March plan wise.
But, these
changes should improve the contesting experience at VE6SV well into the
future.

Saying that, one can not do everything well, so I have elected to fore go
Dayton and any
other ham related conventions or contesting trips as this do-over will be
all I can
handle for 2017.

Maybe a trip out to Winnipeg this summer to harass a few of RSM members.

Not sure about upcoming ARRL and CQ spring contests but I will get call out
for
ops and plan re-operating by the end of this month.

But, the fall contests for 2017 with the upgrades will be "full steam
ahead"
and the VE6SV station door is always open for others to join the team.

BTW, look for Max VE6RST at the controls at VE6SV for the upcoming CQWW
160M CW event at the end of this month.

Question: Are my RSM dues up to date?

Keep well everyone and back to my drawing board - literally.

73, Gord VE6SV
