With sunspots shifting the emphasis to the high bands, I had no idea how
well my all-band dipole would fare. Pretty well, I'd say, though 80M, my
money band of the past, was but small change this time.
I did manage to work VE4GV and VE4XT, both on 15M, both clipping along. I
heard them both calling in a pileup for a station I couldn't hear. Maybe
Delaware?? I see on 3830scores.com that other Manitobans were QRV. Sorry
I missed you.
Saskatchewan provided VE5GC (15M), VE5KS (20M), VE5MX (40M; Hi, Todd!), and
VE5SF (20M). Heard Todd and Sam all over the place. Heard VE5CPU,but I
think he was S&P.
Alberta was the volume leader, with VE6AO (40M), VE6BBP (20M), VE6RST
(15M), VA6RCN (10M), and VE6SV (10M). The first two answered my CQ.
Thanks for the QSOs. I've recovered enough from a 24 hour effort that I'll
be looking for you in SS SSB next weekend.
And, as always, I'm looking forward to Canada Day. Only seven months!
73, Art K3KU/VE4VTR
