I just saw this on the Northern California Contest Club Reflector. Very 
sad. I still use some of Dean's antenna analysis software:

As reported in today's Daily DX,  Dean Straw N6BV passed away back in July.


N6BV, Richard D. Straw, has become a silent key.  His wife reported
he passed away July 9, 2025, from Parkinson's disease
complications. He is in the Contest Hall of Fame and is the
author/editor of the ARRL Antenna Book, and various software tools.
He designed and built the N6RO contest station.
