Lowlights:
I missed ND, RI(!), NF, NB and NWT.
After repeated tries of calling someone's AFSK image, I
finally figured it out and found him 4 kc down. (I
wasn't the only one calling either :-).
Highlights:
VY1JA didn't make an appearance this year, but VY1MB did.
Yukon is definitely easier to work than North Dakota! I
sure miss WB0O :-).
After being absent in recent contests, Larry, AH8LG, made
a much welcomed appearance.
With my 100 watts into a vertical, N7ON was one of
only 4 stations who answered my 80m CQ. N7ON is in
Nevada!
Finding K7VK (MT) an hour before the end of the contest.
Fortunately, the pile wasn't large (yet :-).
Thanks to W0SD and W7WW for 5 bands. Many 4 banders.
Watching Bruce, ZF2NT (N6NT) lecture the NA pile to not
"behave like Europeans." Tell us what you really felt,
Bruce :-). Old contesters may remember him as AA6KX.
Thank you everyone, for making this contest, as always, so enjoyable.
Looking through my log, there were many of states and provinces
which I'd only worked a single station (sometimes multiple bands with
the same station). DE (W3PP), GA (W4OJC), LA (AA5AU), NE (K0IDT),
NV (N7ON), MT (K7VK), SD (W0SD), WY (WG7Y), YUK (VY1MB), MB (VE4COZ),
NS (VE1AOE), VY2SS (PEI). These folks accounted for about 15% of my
final score!
