Boy, is this contest ever at the wrong times for VK...=20
Why the wrong times ?? well, starting time is 3am local and ending time =
is about 3 hours before 20 metres opens down here.
Except for the first 90 minutes the whole contest is in board daylight =
so there is no chance of DX contacts on 40 or 80 metres... =20
Conditions on the day were pretty poor and as I have often heard said =
"why couldn't it have been held yesterday ?"... Conditions here on VK =
yesterday were fantastic (damn you mr. sun)
So here's the real rundown... I started the contest at 6am which was =
3 hours late and in the final 4 hours all bands were dead and I only =
worked 24 contacts... Considering this, I am not too upset at my =
lousy score.... and I had fun, and thats the main thing.
