I have been using an AL-1200 (3CX1200A7) for about 12 years. I do not have the urge to run it BTTW, just 900 out and it runs just fine. Sometimes I "Crank" it up to 1100 out for a brief period. On SSB, however, it does 1500+ out real easy. Still have the original tube in it. Not bad for a $1300 amp !! 73, Dick, W1KSZ
