Soapbox.
I only operated for around 18 hours this year because frankly, I just
couldn't be bothered.....   Why ?? well, I was watching an exchange between
a mainland USA and another VK who was having great difficulty getting
through.. (no not me) Time afrer time he asked the station to repeat his
report as he was apparently not getting it... at one time he asked the
ststion to turn his antenna so he could get the report... the station
replied with "why should I, your only a VK....   So, as another "only a VK I
decided ther and then that it was time to stop.
