[RTTY] WAEDC RTTY Contest

Waldemar et al. The reasons for one not participating in any event (contest
or otherwise) are as varied as the number usually not participating?
Personally, the passing of QTC's is not the part that lowers my
participation interest, it is the request from other stations (this time
can't blame US stations) for QTC's when I am calling CQ! As AA5AU suggested,
I have an exchanger buffer ending with "NO QTC", however, last year that
still didn't keep stations from asking? I have been associated with
contesting for 20 years, while only 4+ in RTTY, and believe that I have seen
the "best and worst" from many operators? My own personal barometer for a
contest is, after the contest is over, I ask myself "did you have fun"? If I
have to think too long about that, I most likely didn't, and should try to
find the reason, if I care to continue? I have had to personally reevaluate
my reason for participating, as my competitive nature will attempt to
convince me that I didn't "really do well" if I didn't win! Well maybe, I
just "redefined" winning?  :)
I will most likely participate in WAE, along with my "beloved" no QTC
buffer, and I will even try to keep a record of how many and which stations
ask for QTC's.
