Hi all,
Well, as a result of being left out of the trip, I think I am going to sign
in on various DX clusters, with a variety of callsigns, (I may even use
AA5AU!!!) and spot you all on as many bands SSB as I can, and then issue
FULL ANN's saying how bad the operation is. If there is another dxpedition
on at the same time, then I may spot you on SSB, and make sure the split
overlaps the OTHER operation fully.
I will also frequently give out the WRONG qsl info, and tell everyone that
you are only after $$$$$$$$ as that seems to be the "in thing" for many such
operations these days.
I also feel that you should promote the idea of taking along a 6m
specialist, and maybe a satellite specialist, but just don't tell anyone
that they will only be there to do the cooking and cleaning! And don't
forget the popularity of 2m EME! I am sure there possibilities for this -
how about using the moons on Jupiter?
Also, on the way back from Parody, perhaps you could stop off at Caricature
Island (in Spanish it is Travesty Island, but is known locally as Isla de la
Mierda del Toro), and do some radio from there?
Lastly, I have to suggest that you look into the possibility of using eQSL,
but make sure that any possible SSB contacts show up with the word SPECIMEN
written across the card in red.
73 to all,
Phil GU0SUP
