Hello everyone, if we worked thanks, if we didn't, I called you but
you but you never came back. Never done so much CQ and S&P calling
for such little response. My 20 hours operating was more like a crawl
than a sprint.

Prop was flat during the first 5 hours, grayline prop was very good
around sunrise. 28MHz was very disappointing during the day, then
grayline prop came good again around sunset. Found it extremely hard
to break through the East European RF Curtain.

But the biggest surprise was, that I couldn't even claim my OWN
continent as a multiplier, is this a first ???? On a few occasions I
copied someone working ZL2AMI, and just the once I copied someone
working VK4DZ and maybe I imagined it, but I am sure I copied someone
working a FW, but no print from them or any other Oceania stations,
where was KH6, YB, DU, etc ???

Some stats:
stations worked one band only - 154
stations worked two or three bands - 43
stations worked in other contests - 129
stations worked for first time - 68

I have come to the conclusion that 100watts and 3el yagi is no good
for RTTY contests. Great for CW contests though - just been advised I
got world first place in the 2001 JA JIDX HF CW contest in the LP
category. In addition in the HP category only one station out scored
me, another RTTY operator, VR2BG. (Congrats Brett).

I missed the Roundup, was at our Scout Jamboree, and I will be away
on holiday, camping again, for the CQ WPX. Maybe if I win the
national lottery and can buy a 2kw linear, I will be back for the
BARTG 48hour crawl.

The numbers are:
