[RTTY] Credit for P5 RTTY

I believe the story given on the 9U was that they did not want to
endanger anyone there by publishing stories that they were not
properly licensed. At least thats what I read.

Don, I agree 100% with what the ARRL DXCC rules state. However, there is no
mention of approval required of each amateur mode. As it reads, rule 7, "Any
Amateur Radio operation, etc., etc.,". This has the same thinking as the
9U5CW op where they knew months in advance that the operation was not going
to be accepted for DXCC as the operators had not obtained permission from an
ARRL recognized official. The operation was allowed to continue until long
after completion before the DXCC community was notified and after who knows
how much $$$$ was sent to the the QSL Manager. oh well. Its the only game in
town, so guess we play by their rules...73 de
