There's been some discussion of these devices on various reflectors
in the past year or so, maybe longer.

I'd like to take a collection of what owner's of these devices have to say
about ones they own or owned and used so I can list them on my website.
This way when anyone has a question about them, they have a place to
go to see which units work and which don't.

I'd like to know the brand name and model of adapter(s) you are using now
or have used in the past and whether or not they work for FSK and/or
radio control. If you know if they work for PTT, that's good information
also but not too many people seem to be using COM ports for PTT since
many are using radio control. If you are using a particular adapter for rig
control, I'd like to know which radio. So far, in my research, I've not heard
of a USB-to-Serial port adapter working with one radio and not another. Can
it be assumed that if a USB-to-Serial port adapter does radio control on one
brand of radio, it will do it for all brands?

If you are using a USB-to-Serial port adapter with a RIGblaster, I'd like
to know which one. The makers of the RIGblaster recommend and sell
the IOGEAR, Model GUC232A. If anyone is using one of these models
with the RIGblaster Plus, I'd like to know if it works for FSK through the
RIGBlaster.

Once I have the web page location where I'll put this information, it will be
linked from my RTTY page at www.aa5au.com/rtty. I have not yet completed
my "Getting Started on RTTY" tutorial yet, but I did complete an interesting
page with the help from Kok Chen, W7AY, concerning the use of diddles.
I learned a lot when researching information for that page. It's good information
about why everyone should use diddles when transmitting RTTY.

73 & thanks,
