[RTTY] Results of CQ/RJ WW and WPX Contests

We had this debate when I was a full member of the RSGB HF Contesting
Commitee, that results of RSGB Contests should appear on the Web.   Many in
the Committee felt that Rad Com being the journal of the RSGB should produce
all the results and others were pushing for the Internet.

It took some time before we could even agree to publish claimed scores on
the net.

Ron K5DJ makes a very valid point that without magazine sponsorship many of
the Contests we take for granted would just simply disappear, and so in this
world of instant communication - we must strike a balance.  Sure everybody
wants the reults out yesterday to see if we have achieved that 15 minutes of
glory, but that has to be tempered with the reality of Sponsorship.   As in
all forms of sport today - no sponsorship = no sport!

Before I took out a subscription to CQ Magazine, I had to ferret out who in
West Scotland was a subscriber so that I could catch the results.   So
Goetz - don't grumble - be a ferret - the results are out there......seek em
out (em is Scottish short for them!)
