Yes, I have one of theirs (Chinese) in a Heath SB-1000, a clone of the
AL-80B, and it has worked fine.  I haven't used the rig in a year or so,
but it did get a good amount of RTTY contesting before then.

I spoke to one of the reps at RF Parts before I bought it and he told me
they were well aware of the differences between various Chinese
manufacturers and only bought the best.  They also individually tested
each one they received before putting it in stock.

I'd say you could trust them.
