To RTTY WPX 2003 Participants:

This was a great contest with terrific participation. More than 400 logs
have already been received. However, some folks have had a common problem
in submitting their log successfully in Cabrillo format.

That problem is an error in their "CATEGORY" line. The error is the result
of including on that line such extraneous characters as "RTTY" or "RY" or
non-English words indicating power class (e.g. "tout bas" instead of "all
low"). None of this will be accepted by the robot. What this line wants is
your CATEGORY and nothing else. The contest is indicated in the CONTEST
line and nowhere else.

To see the specifications for a Cabrillo file, go to
www.kkn.net/~trey/cabrillo/spec.html

To see an example of the proper format for a RTTY WPX log, look at
www.kkn.net/~trey/cabrillo/wpx-rtty.txt

If your log has been rejected by the robot, please look at the reason
indicated, refer to the specifications and/or the example, correct the
problem and resubmit your log to the robot at wpxrtty at kkn.net.

One other note: even after your log has been accepted by the robot, you may
modify your log at any time prior to the March 12 log submission deadline
simply by sending a later version to the robot. The robot will
automatically substitute the later log for the previously accepted log.

Thanks for your participation in the 2003 RTTY WPX Contest.

Contest Director
