[RTTY] FT-990, MMTTY and the Rascal Mark V+ Interface

Hello all, I am new to RTTY and I'm in the middle of setting up my station. I have installed MMTTY software on a laptop computer and I have been able to copy rtty signals off the air just fine. 

I'm not so sure about transmitting however. My SWR meter suggests that I'm transmitting however; I can't hear any sound through my radio. I am using an FT-990 that has a 4 pin Din on the rear, which allows me to transmit FSK. I’m not sure about the internal settings required by the radio. Any suggestions on what's not been set-up correctly? I'm at a total loss. Are there any FT-990 folks out there that might have had the same set-up problem? Thanks for your help.
