Bill, thanks for the information.  From what I gather the scoring is the same
as previous years and the only difference is that the contest is now 24 hours
and DX spotting is permitted.  Is this correct?

This is an excellent contest to test your station set-up for the ARRL RTTY
Roundup a month later in January.

I'm off work that weekend so I'll be able to play in the melee!

Well, my friends it's getting closer and closer to the next running of the
TARA RTTY Melee (Formerly called TARA RTTY Sprint). The next running of this
contest will take place on December 6th, starting at 00:00 UTC, until 24:00
December 6. Yep, it's now a FULL 24 hour contest which each participant may work a
maximum of 16 hours. DX Spotting is now permitted too!
