I went to the on-line rebate site (www.circuitcityrebates.com) and entered the
program number YB471.  This is the information that was reported back:

  Circuit City $40 Sound Card Rebate
  Offer Date:     4/18/2004 - 4/24/2004
  Postmark Date:  5/24/2004

I'm going to take my chances that the rebate will go through.  My receipt is
dated 21 April 2004.
