The SPDX was my first RTTY contest. I worked 80, 40 and 20 meters. Here in central Florida I noticed much disruption of incoming signals due to multipathing and also lightning QRN. I printed allot of strong DX stations from Europe and South America but most of the Europeans were received at 50% printing or worse.

Some representative DX stations worked include HK6PSG, I1COB and 9A5W.

  Propagation was not to be found Saturday morning in Missouri. I had just 28
  contacts in the first 1 1/2 hours. Many many "AGN ?" messages received and
  sent, especially to Europe. I was wondering if there was something wrong
  with my signal. If there was, I sure would appreciate someone telling me
  what they heard. I really expect this is what we can expect as Cycle 23
  continues to decline. I did mostly S&P. The longest run I got calling CQ was
  four calls and they were all USA. I was pleased to find Serge, FO5PS, again
  and work him.

  QSO's = 102   Pts. = 617   QTH = 5    DX = 38   Cont. = 6

  Claimed score  =  159,186

  See you in VOLTA 73 Dick KS0M
