If the operator had been telling people UP 5-10 in his QRZ macro, more
people might have been up that far.  Instead, at least this evening, no
mention of split whatsoever.  With the obvious result.  And yes, many of the
operators on the other end were horrible.

The problem isn't only the operator of the DX
station. The problem is also on the other side
of the pile-up with a lot of people calling 1 or 2
khz up when the operator is asking for 5 to 10 up... a lot of people
always calling and calling even when the dx station is
calling for one specific call sign ... a lot of people that
don't stop to see where the dx is receivibg and keep calling
blind 1 kc up from the dx and making a lot of QRM ...
It's very easy to say they are bad operators but the bad
operators are also on the other side of the pile-up. 73s
