[RTTY] which do you yse

Yaesu FT1000MP
I wish to use the RX Audio Out pin on the RTTY to feed my sound card.
It will work if I connect it to the MIC connector.
But will not work if I feed the Line IN connector.

Seems like it should, any ideas????
