Hello Group 
I have to agree with Barry.
The last three contests i have entered with my "new"
callsign (october 2002) people called me jack just
because they found that name in such a friend file
or on the old callbook cd.
I find this very annoying and prefer to keep it short.
I don't mind however if someone calls my real name,
which can have an advantage when signals are weak
Like AA5AU mentioned.
But that is just MHO.
