Interesting Tomas,
Just as I was reading this mail a solar storm alarm sounded on IonoProbe, a
programme that I use for monitoring solar activity in real time. When I
opened up the graphs it shows the flares you mentioned as well as a climbing
K index.
For those interested, IonoProbe is available for download at:
www.dxatlas.com/IonoProbe
Thanks for the heads-up,
Eric.

-> Hello,
->
-> Over the last week or so, we've been seeing very nice solar
-> activity.
-> Solar activity has been strong, with the 10.7-cm Flux
-> reading a high of
-> 175. Last night between 6 PM and midnight, from my
-> location, I heard many
-> 20 meter QSO's between the West Coast and Europe and other
-> areas of the
-> world. On Shortwave, I heard strong DX openings on higher
-> frequencies,
-> longer into the night.
