Operating time was about 8.5h between 1200utc & 0600utc with lots of long
breaks

Band conditions didn't seem the best for me at all, compared to previous
days anyway.  15m briefly opened for an 11390km JA contact, and shortly
after dark a couple of +10,000km contacts to Russia on 20m.  40m was
horrible, even the loud RTTY signals were garbled by the SSB splatter (my
bare bones "basic" receiver doesn't help either), the term "Grid Loc(k)" was
quite appropriate!
