Hi,

as you might know, we have moved the date of the Makrothen,
held in March this year for the first time, to the second full
weekend of October from now on.

Date & Time: October 9th to October 10th 2004
Operating time: Saturday 00-08 UTC, 16-24 UTC and Sunday 08-16 UTC.
Mode: RTTY only.

There will be no collision with any other digi mode contest or any
other mega major contest in CW/SSB.

The are a very few little changes in the rules. The most important
one, is the band weighting for 40m and 80m. In consideration of
the fact, that is is much more difficulty to make a lot of DX QSO's
(long distance) on this bands, you can multiply your points on 40m
with 1.5 and on 80m with 2.0!!

The Makrothen Contest is supported by Writelog, RCKRtty, OH2GI-HAM System,
RTCL (JK1IQK), N1MM Logger and MixW. Check out the Makrothen Web site
for support, if you want to use MMTTY, WF1B or any other RTTY contest
logging software package and how to convert your WF1B-log to Cabrillo.

If you want to check your claimed score (with band weighting) you can
do it on the Makrothen Web site also. It needs a few clicks only.

You should participate in The Makrothen Contest! The timetable, the
sequence of 8 hours activity and 8 hours convalescence before the
next 8 hours activity, that is very healthy! ~:)

Last but not least: Please send in your log, even you have made
one QSO only!
